SUBTLY SCULPTURAL
Subtly Sculptural is an artist project - initiated and curated by Gerda Kruimer, Zaida Oenema, and Nelleke Beltjens- with internationally active artists from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

“Subtly Sculptural focuses on art that works its way along the narrow interface where two- and three-dimensional form languages meet and enter into a certain productive conflict with each other. The decisive factor here is that the three-dimensional, in the broadest sense ‘sculptural’ aspect of the works does not impose itself—it is handled with caution and restraint, thus giving viewers the opportunity to make precise explorations of the works of art, thereby gaining surprising insights that only emerge at a second or third glance.” (excerpt text by Peter Lodermeyer)

Exhibitions have been held at: Studio Seine, Rotterdam, Netherlands Galerie r8m, Cologne, Germany Horizonvertikaal, Haarlem, the Netherlands.
